Someone you love needs help. You live somewhere else.
Nuri is a care marketplace for families held apart by distance. Arrange help for a parent, a partner or a child who lives in another town or another country. See that it happened. Pay the person who did it.
The button opens your email app with a message addressed to hello@nuricare.app.
The problem
Distance turns small things into hard things.
None of it is complicated
A prescription that needs collecting. A geyser that stopped working. A lift to a hospital appointment on Tuesday morning. Every one of these takes an hour from someone standing nearby, and is impossible from four hundred kilometres away, or four thousand.
Finding help is not the hard part
You can find a number and call it. What you cannot do from far away is know that someone arrived, that the work was done properly, and that the money reached the person who did it.
The people doing the work carry it too
Careful, reliable caregivers, cleaners, drivers and nurses are found by word of mouth, paid late or in cash, and finish years of good work with nothing to show for it.
Three sides
Nuri has to work for everyone in the arrangement.
A family, the person doing the work, and whoever coordinates or pays. One product, three doors.
I need help
For a parent, a grandparent, a partner, a child — or for yourself. Say what you need and who it is for. Nuri finds the right Pro, and shows you what happened.
For families →I want to earn
Get paid for work you already do well. Caregiving, nursing, cleaning, driving, gardening, repairs, errands, property checks, physiotherapy.
For Pros →I coordinate or pay
A family sharing the load between several people. A care manager with a caseload. An organisation arranging care for the people it serves.
For organisations →How it works
Four steps, and none of them ask you to learn anything.
You should not have to understand how Nuri is built in order to use it. You answer questions about your own life, in your own words, and the product does the rest.
-
Say what you need, and who it is for
Two questions. Nuri works out the rest from your answers rather than asking you to fill in a profile first.
-
Nuri matches a Pro
Someone approved for that work, who covers that area. You choose from who is offered.
-
The visit happens, and you see it
The Pro records the work on their phone. It reaches you as a record of what was done, not a message saying “all fine”.
-
The Pro is paid
Money is held when the booking is made and released after the work is handed in. Nuri pays the Pro, so a family never chases an invoice and a Pro never chases a family.
Trust & safety
You are handing someone a key to your mother’s house.
That is the standard the rest of the product is held to.
A person approves every Pro
Creating an account is not an approval, and nothing in Nuri can approve a Pro automatically. Someone at Nuri reviews the application and makes the decision.
A Pro sees only what the work needs
A Home Pro is not shown medical information. A Nursing Pro is not shown details of the property. The address is approximate until a booking is accepted.
Access is granted, never assumed
Being someone’s son does not give you access to their life. Everyone in a care circle sees only what they have been given, and it can be taken back.
Nothing is called verified until it is
Nuri labels what it knows and what it does not. Where something is not yet in place, the product says so rather than showing a badge that means nothing.
Nuri is not open yet
You cannot arrange care through Nuri today, and nobody should plan around it. We are building it and testing it with a small group, and we will open one market at a time.
If someone you love needs help now, arrange it the way you can and keep Nuri for later. If you tell us where you are and who you are trying to help, we will write to you when Nuri can actually do something about it.
