Using Nuri means letting someone you have never met into a house you are not in, to look after a person you love. Everything below exists because of that sentence.
Approving a Pro
A person decides, every time.
Creating an account puts nobody in front of a family. Approval is a separate process with a human being at the end of it, and there is no path around them.
An application
What work they do, where they can do it, and when. This is the beginning of the process, not the end of it.
Documents
Whatever the work requires. A nurse and a gardener are not asked for the same things.
Required learning
Training attached to the service, completed before the work starts rather than after a complaint.
A review by someone at Nuri
A named person makes the decision and it is recorded against their name. Nothing in the system can approve a Pro on its own, and no amount of progress through the steps advances anyone automatically.
Approval, which can be withdrawn
Being approved once is not permanent. It is a state a person can take back.
Identity verification, credential checks with the issuing body, and background clearance. These are part of how a Pro will be approved. They are not running yet, and they will be before Nuri opens to families.
Until then, nobody should treat a profile in Nuri as a vetted one. The product does not show a verification badge it has not earned.
Your information
Access is given, not assumed.
Relationship is not authority
Being someone’s son, their neighbour or their case worker grants nothing on its own. Every piece of access is attached deliberately, with a reason recorded, and it can be withdrawn.
A Pro sees what the work needs
A Home Pro is not shown medical information. A Nursing Pro is not shown details of the property. The scope follows the job, not the person.
The address is not handed out
A Pro sees an approximate area while a job is being offered. The full address arrives once the booking is accepted, and that is recorded when it happens.
You can see who has what
Who in the circle holds which access, what they can see, and when they last used it. Reviewing it and taking something back is part of the product, not a support request.
When something is wrong
Saying so is safe, and it reaches a person.
You choose who comes back
Build a preferred team of Pros you trust. Block someone and they are never offered to you again — and they are never told who blocked them.
A concern is confidential
Raising one goes to a person at Nuri. It does not automatically penalise the Pro, suspend them, or appear on their profile. Someone looks at it and decides.
Nobody is accused by software
Nuri can notice a pattern and put it in front of a person. It cannot conclude that someone did something wrong. Anything touching a Pro’s income is a human decision with a recorded reason.
Handover between Pros
When one Pro takes over from another, what carries across is what the next person needs to do the work safely — not everything the last one happened to see.
Money
How payment will protect both sides.
Held, then released
The payment is held when the booking is made and released after the work is handed in. Neither side is exposed while the work is still ahead of them.
Nuri pays the Pro
The Pro invoices Nuri, not the family. Nobody has to ask a stranger for cash at the end of a shift, and no family is chased for an invoice.
Nothing automated moves money
No part of Nuri can release, spend or transfer funds on its own. Money decisions are made by people, and are separated so that the person who proposes one is never the person who approves it.
No money moves through Nuri today. Payment protection is how Nuri is designed to work and it is not switched on.
What Nuri will not do
Some of this is about restraint.
No invented confidence
Nuri says what it knows. “We could not confirm the eight o’clock medication” is true. “She missed her medication” is a guess dressed as a fact, and Nuri does not write sentences like that.
No badge that has not been earned
Nothing is labelled verified, checked or protected until the thing behind the label is actually running.
No judgement of your family
Nuri does not know why nobody answered the phone on Sunday. It knows nobody answered. It reports that and stops.
No scores to chase
No leaderboards, no streaks, no pressure to open the app. Care is not a game and reliability is not a competition.
No noise
Nuri interrupts you when something needs you and stays quiet otherwise.
